NAMSA announced today that it completed its acquisition of Alquest, Inc. based in Minneapolis. Alquest is a leading contract research organization (CRO) specializing in regulatory strategy, compliance and clinical trials management for the medical device industry.
The acquisition positions NAMSA as the leading medical device CRO offering comprehensive preclinical biological safety testing and clinical investigation services. “Alquest’s expertise in regulatory strategy combined with their extensive experience designing and managing clinical trials puts NAMSA in the unique position of providing clients the broadest array of services spanning the entire product development process,” said John Gorski, president and CEO of NAMSA.
NAMSA and Alquest currently share several multi-national clients representing every therapeutic category of the medical device industry. “The efficiencies that are realized through the design and execution of preclinical and clinical strategies within a single CRO enables us to accelerate the time it takes to bring a therapy to market,” stated Linda Alexander, CEO and founder of Alquest. “This, combined with our global regulatory and compliance services, creates a new level of convenience for our clients.”
