Dr. David Yakobi is a Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon with vast experience in structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, intensive care, emergency medicine, cardiovascular physiology and hemodynamics. Dr. Yakobi has experience working in both medical devices and digital health. He has acted as a medical consultant to major startup companies and organizations in the healthcare industry, providing insight on structural heart, electrophysiology, cardiac imaging, nephrology and emergency medicine therapies.

Dr. Yakobi’s professional interests include medical advisory in medical device and digital health, participating in scientific advisory boards, writing and reviewing clinical evaluations (CERs) for medical devices, providing feedback from potential users (i.e. Cardiologists) on medical devices, assisting in usability/safety and efficacy studies in both preclinical and clinical settings and providing strategy consulting. Dr. Yakobi is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Hebrew, Russian, Hungarian and Georgian.


  • Adult cardiac surgery, including coronary bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement and ascending aortic operations
