After qualifying as a Veterinary Surgeon in Belgium in 2004, Isabelle moved to the UK where she first worked in large animal practice and later obtained her European Diploma in Bovine Health Management and became a lecturer at the University of Edinburgh. After 14 years abroad, she returned home to Belgium and joined Medanex Clinic in 2018, a highly specialized preclinical testing laboratory for (cardiovascular) medical devices which was acquired by NAMSA in 2022.

As a senior veterinarian with a focus on anesthesia and intensive care management, she supported the development and growth of the site’s ability to perform high-intensive care chronic models for cardiac assist devices and extracorporeal life support systems. Over time, she also progressed to a management position, initially responsible for overseeing the daily operational processes of the hospital and animal housing facilities and since 2023 as Director of Preclinical Laboratory Operations in Diest.
